Greenhouse Ribbon Cutting

During the pandemic, we were lucky enough to be recipients of the IMPACT 100 Metro Detroit grant for $100,000. This funding was intended to add a new growing space to our garden to grow capacity, support the food work in Pontiac and assist local families with access to healthy foods.

As we all experienced, delays in the supply chain, the rapid increase in construction costs, and the setbacks that we are still feeling as the result of the pandemic held back the completion of this project.

With the help of several other organizations including The Americana Foundation, Bloomfield Hills Garden Club, and others we have completed the construction of our greenhouse and are already seeing its literal fruits.

This year we have entered into a partnership with Growing Pontiac and Trinity Health Oakland Campus to start seedlings together in order to get more produce out to the people of Pontiac.
